Time and all eternity

There is just something about the sealing ceremony that is incredible. I love to be a witness to this sacred ordinance. The language is so profound, particularly when contrasted to the typical wedding ceremony outside of the temple. The promises are so amazing that I'm not sure I even comprehend all that they really mean. I think more than any ordinance or ceremony in the Church this inspires and motivates me the most! I've not yet had the privilege of kneeling at that altar and hearing those words directed toward me, but I will, and who knows it might be soon! I caught the garter at my younger brother's wedding yesterday!

I've not yet had the opportunnity to attend a sealing, but I know that I will someday, and I feel so blessed to know that is what I want for myself. I've seen so many friends go the other direction with less than happy results. Congrats on catching the garter! I have yet to catch a bouquet, because I usually disappear right before it's tossed. ;)

Whoa there Silent Thunder, catching the garder, way to go! Soon huh? Is this a hopeful soon, or is there something you're not telling the rest of us?

I had someone on my mission ask why we should get married in the temple over outside of the temple. I told her that the promise of eternity is the biggest part, but then she wanted to know why she couldn't get married outside of the temple and get sealed later on. I tried to explain it to her, but felt my words get all jumbled up. I finally looked at her and said that I couldn't explain it, but that if she knew the promises that were waiting, she wouldn't even consider anything else. I still think that is true. I feel so blessed that one day that will be waiting for me.

I lovey, love, love attending sealings. I have had the opportunity to be present at many of my friends and one of my younger brothers. Each time I become more aware just how completely amazing the promises and power kneeling at that alter offer.

I always walk out of a sealing thinking that I really need to get that taken care of sooner rather than later. In other words, it really makes one yearn to have that companionship and eternal bond for oneself.....it is the one of those times I really feel my singleness.

It's a fabulous movie quote from Back to the Future. "You are my density.... I mean destiny"

Funny that I didn't recognize that. I just watched that movie with some friends on Saturday. I'm really bad at movie quotes.
