Joining the bandwagon

Okay, I'm joining the bandwagon! This is like blogosphere mania right now, but I think it's pretty fun. So, here's the instructions:

1. Post one (or some) memories of me as a comment on this blog. It can be anything at all, although it will probably be coolest if it is a memory that you and I share.

2. Next, post the same instructions on your blog and make this blog trend even more trendy.

This is hard because I have at least over a million memories that involve you. :) However I would probably have to go with the whole Strawberry Shortcake (not the food for those who don't know this story, the character) era. It still makes me giggle thinking about it!

So many wonderful memories!

I remember when you came over to help me build my entertainment center, and we sat on my floor and discussed your then complicated and conflicted love life.

I remember missionary discussions at my apartment with Dane.

I remember studying together for the GRE, and then both of us getting nearly the same score.

I remember when you found out I had never been doorbell ditching and you felt that my childhood had been incomplete. So, you took me to doorbell ditch at B's house and we nearly scared the pants off of Malia.

I remember vacations: camping trips and the cruise with the group, visiting you in Guatemala, your short roadtrip to Boston, our roadtrip to Vegas, getting engaged in D.C. and honeymooning in Cancun.

There are a million things I could name, but these are some of my favorites! I love you dearly and look forward to an eternity of memories with you.

Oh so many wonderful memories of a wonderful individual. I remember laughing at the crazy older lady dressed in pink dancing at the Kenny Chesney concert. Or listening to you trying to teach Brenda Italian for her trip to Italy. Or snorkeling with sting rays in grand cayman. Or the amazing talks and lessons you gave in our ward ... those still stick with me. You are one of the most amazing individuals I have ever come in contact with and I am grateful to call you my friend!

Man, CJ, I've got a lot of great memories of you. I remember lots of people thinking we were twims when we were kids. I think I remember a girl tackling you to the ground and kissing you; you didn't like that too much. I remember lots of scout camps and fishing trips. Can't forget about all of our adventures down the street to KMart to buy various things and blow any chance of having savings. Paper route was something else. Can you believe we did that for like 5 years?! I remember we used to have to make those blasted 3x5 cards and tape peoples names on them. I got us in lots of trouble with the manager, sorry. I couldn't be bothered to drive all the way to lambert floral, it was clearly not in my plans. I remember one day riding our bikes down 3900 south and a big truck drove by and our bads flew over our heads and we went shooting down the road. I remember singing with you on lots of occassions, duets and even all those madrigal performances and tours. I always had a friend in you, no matter what! I pretty much bawled my face off when you left on your mission and I was so excited to see you when I got done with mine. So many nights, I stayed up and talked to you about our lives. You always had words of wisdom. I was not the only one that you used to "counsel" back then. You have always been a great listener and a very accepting person. You always saw the good in people and helped them through hard times. When I white washed you that one day, it was so funny, but you were pretty ticked at me. Remember our cross country tour? Remember what you said to tyler and I about that one chick you liked? I know you deny it, but it was said and it was hilarious!! I've had some good times with you, bro. Thanks for all these good times. Love ya! See ya in a few

Where do I begin? I remember playing Barbies and He-Man and our made up lost child in the woods game in Tooele. I remember almost getting kicked off the bus over that one girl. I remember you chastising me in high school for being too flirtatious. I insisted that they knew I wasn't serious, you assured me they did not and you were right. Madrigals - singing that duet, driving the wrong way on a one way street, sneaking into your room on tour when mine was so nasty, and you firmly telling Mrs. Johnson not to call me a liar. Talking all hours of the night. How mad we were when mom gave our dog away. You always pointing to your head to indicate how you "just knew". Me crying when you lost for student government in high school. Crying as soon as I saw you at the airport before you went to Italy, and when I read your emails from Guatemala. Always looking up to you in so many ways and admiring so much about you. I'm glad your my brother and that we share so many great memories, I love you!

I have so many memories it is near impossible to even begin. My best baby in terms of behavior. I remember when you were so sick and it scared me bad sometimes. i remember feeling it would be okay. I learned at an early age you had an inborn knowledge of the gospel and I knew you would teach me a lot. I remember your singing, guitar playing and piano. I remember working at This is the Place. I was so proud that you would tell your part and then play the organ. i remember papers with Mike. I remember Mrs. Fraiser and johnson and your experiences with them. I remember how happy I was for you when you left on your mission, but how I thought my heart would break. Now al of you have come and gone and it seems like yesterday. I remember how scared i was while you were in Guatamala and how mad I was at those stupid hospital people, that wouldn't let me through. It was probably good I didn't know Jason Fifield served there , or we would have been there the whole time. I am very grateful for having you as a son. You are kind, compassionate, a spiritual giant, talented and a great example to me. I love you!

To go along with Tania's comment, I remember when you used to doorbell ditch...j/k

I remember some of the deep discussions I have had with you about the gospel. I remember one in particular, and we were talking for at least an hour after church. When I was leaving a girl (one of the many that was in love with you) came up to me and asked if we were dating. And I remember I just started to laugh. (no offense to you or Tania, but you both know you would've laughed too)

I think my favorite memory of you is how you always have the right thing to say at the right time, out of the blue. Your occasional comments on my blog or even in person have always seemed totally inspired/inspiring. I appreciate your friendship so much!

I like your new blog layout! Maybe you should actually post things on it. jk
